this is in the mountain view way area of santa rosa. the skyhawk neighborhood is a subdivision in the area where we have sadly seen home after home completely engulfed in these flames. it's been a tough situation for firefighters. people, fortunately, in the areas have been evacuated. unfortunately they're not going to have much to come back to. firefighters are doing their best to get a handle on these flames. they are able to protect some homes. we know there are embers burning out there as well. >> this is highway 12 in santa rosa at montana road. that's a barn burning in the back. so firefighters are trying to tackle that right now. certainly they are up against all of these flames this morning that they tried to get control of this fire and try to protect what they can. you can see them dousing that barn there with the water hoping to save that structure from burning, and that's what we're seeing throughout a lot of these neighborhoods this morning that firefighters are up against that task. it's the fire, it's the heat from the te

kind of chilly in santa rosa, down to 48 degrees. we can show from you san jose where it's 58 degrees. some of the clearest skies we've had this evening in quite some time. 58 right now. to san francisco. pretty view there. 61 degrees. a little more smoke kind of filtering back into the bay as the stronger offshore winds have subsided. during the day here's the sfrut nasa modus imagery looking down toward the north bay. the reason things cleared out was thanks to the northeasterly winds which helped clear things out in san francisco. tonight with the winds relatively light to start, probably a little more smoke filling into the central bay. by tomorrow morning around 7:00 a.m. as the winds pick up we think the highest levels of air pollution again should be centered in napa county, marin county and sonoma county. for tomorrow another spare the air day but the levels you see here about half of what they were two days ago. north bay seeing the worst of air quality for sunday afternoon. in terms of temperatures it will be chilly again.

santa rosa, 48. we had winds this morning that picked up really yesterday evening and that's what helped fan the flames and cause there wildfire to spread these embers and create more wildfires. now as we look at the sustained winds, we have wind speeds at about 10 to 20 miles per hour. it is breezy. we play have gusts about 30 as we go through the 10:00 or 11:00 hour. it's still going to be windy in spots. the wind speeds are starting to calm down and that will be the trend throughout the rest of the day. we will star to see much more favorable conditions for tease firefighters. everyone out there trying to get containism on fires spreading from north to south because that's the direction of the wind speeds. right now temperatures are at 66 miles per hour. if we look at the temperature trend for the rest of the day it's going to quickly warm up. once we do get the sun shine it's going to make it into the low 80s. one thing that may help keep the temperatures down a bit may be the smoke that will kee
